We love the soft feel and spectacular color
of this yarn. We were lucky enough to try the
Raspberry Brambles colorway which is dyed using an
infused dying technique. Each skein in this color
looks a bit different from the next, so it can be a
bit of an adventure to use, but we loved the
finished look of our swatch. All of the available
hues are rich and dramatic, creating a spectacular
finished result regardless of which shade you
select. Comprised of a wonderful blend of superwash
merino and bamboo, the finished knitted fabric is
soft, durable, and easy care, making this yarn ideal
for projects that will see a lot of use. And, with
the addition of a little nylon for extra durability
this yarn is perfect for your next sock project. We
did find that the weight of the yarn gauged more
like a fingering or sock weight rather than DK or
sport as the manufacturer suggested. Due to this
change in weight we also found that we preferred the
look of our finished fabric when knit with a smaller
needle. As with any knitting project, we would
recommend creating a gauge swatch to ensure that
your finished garment will fit, and that the texture
of the stitches is to your preference.
